Community Affairs Director, Casey Jones of Wood TV8 caught up with Eastern Floral during Petal It Forward, an international movement to spread joy and boost people’s moods through flowers. Together with the local flower shop and the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan, the teams handed out 750 free flower bouquets to strangers around Amway Grand Plaza, the Blue Bridge, Calder Plaza, East Grand Rapids, and a few local nonprofits.

Megen Kassuba of Eastern Floral explained her favorite part of Petal It Forward is giving people the best of both worlds as they receive two bouquets, one to keep and one to give away or “petal it forward.” In fact, 80% of people love receiving flowers, while 88% enjoy giving flowers to others.
