As Eastern Floral participates in the 7th annual Petal it Forward initiative, FOX 17 heads to downtown Grand Rapids to get in on the action.
Petal it Forward is a national campaign with participants from thousands of florists nationwide, including Eastern Floral here in West Michigan. Whether you are on the gifting or receiving end, flowers are scientifically proven to make you happier. Some people who have received flowers from Eastern Floral during this initiative have commented on the incredible impact it has on their mood. Even if getting out of bed is difficult, being handed a bouquet of flowers makes the day easier and brighter.
This year, five teams from Eastern Floral are handing out bouquets to strangers passing by in downtown Grand Rapids. Each person is gifted two floral arrangements; one to keep and one to give to a friend, family member, co-worker, etc. With 1,500 bouquets dedicated to Petal it Forward, Eastern Floral plans to donate several bouquets to places such as Samaritas and Mel Trotter Ministers.
There is nothing better than handing out joy and happiness through colorful blooms!
