Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every September by childhood cancer organizations around the world. This year Eastern Floral has the opportunity to support the American Cancer Society in their efforts to spread awareness about childhood cancer and this important month.

The c-word that nobody wants to hear… cancer. Whether cancer is a part of your own story or the story of someone near and dear to you, it is scary, exhausting and painful. The month of September is a time to recognize the children and families affected by childhood cancers and to emphasize the importance of supporting research on these devastating conditions.

Flowers play an important role in our lives in so many ways. We send flowers to celebrate, to congratulate, and to comfort. In the month of September, a floral arrangement is a meaningful way to recognize that strong and beautiful child who is battling, or has beaten this disease. Or to show support to someone who has experienced the effects of childhood cancer in another way. We have put together a bright arrangement of golden sunflowers, gerbera daisies, carnations, mums and roses in a beautiful blue glass keepsake container, called Blooms Of Strength. A portion of every Blooms Of Strength arrangement purchased will be donated by directly to ACS Childhood Cancer efforts.

Plush Donation At Eastern Floral
Plush Donation
There is something special about a soft and cuddly plush animal that brings an instant sense of comfort. This year we decided to run a plush donation drive both in-store and on our website. At the end of the month, all donated plush will be delivered to sweet kiddos in the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Oncology Unit. We know that these plush will bring a smile to so many faces! Feel free to leave a note to be delivered along with the plush!
