With summer winding down, pretty soon students will be back to campus for another academic year. And with another year on campus comes another another slew of new pledges into the various fraternities and sororities on campus. Yes, Greek life on campus is fun, social and even potentially romantic – if all of you frat guys out there find the right sorority girl for you.

Have you found that right sorority girl? Then you have to get her attention. And what better way to do that than with flowers? There’s arguably nothing more valued by a girl than an unexpected floral arrangement, as it’s sure to get her attention and score you some brownie points.

So just what types of flowers and floral arrangements might the sorority crush you’ve got your eye on like? Here’s a look at some suggestions:

  • Sunflowers: Sunflowers are said to bring about feelings of warmth and happiness, based on their appearance and sun-like characteristics. But the sunflower also has deeper meanings. For instance, traditionally they’ve been said to signify adoration and longevity. So if you presented a sunflower to your sorority crush, you’d technically be telling her how much you adore her.
  • Roses: Nothing quite sums up love like a bouquet or assortment of roses. In fact, roses have long been associated with love and beauty. What’s more is that every type of rose has its own unique meaning and symbolism. Red roses say “I love you,” while white roses are associated with the theme of new beginnings. Orange roses are considered elegant and pink roses signify grace. No matter what message you’re trying to get across to your sorority crush, chances are some type of rose flower will suffice just fine.
  • Summer arrangements: Can’t think of just one type of flower to get your crush and want to do an assortment of flowers? Why not try getting her a summer arrangement. For instance, gerbera daisies, orange roses and green trick can combine to make one really nice, neat assortment. And if that isn’t your thing, there are plenty more summer mixes to choose from. A violet assortment of flowers or an arrangement that also mixes sunflowers in it can also make for a nice touch when it comes to a sorority crush.
