When you think of weddings, February is probably not the first month that pops into your mind. The most popular months for weddings are October, September, June, May and then August. February ranks in the bottom three. So why does the Association of Bridal Consultants name February as National Weddings Month?

A large number of engagements happen around Christmas and New Years. According to WeddingWire, 40% of engagements happen in the two-and-a-half months between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. December, in particular, is the month of most engagements.

February may not be a month when a wedding takes place, but it is a month where wedding planning is in full swing! February is also the month where the majority of bridal events take place.
